This three day workshop is suitable for children who would like to learn to use a sewing machine, recommended age 10+ but a younger child who is keen would be welcome to come and try.

Through the three days we will work on building up sewing skills making a variety of items.

Possible itenary:

Day 1, 26th July - Sewing practice, sewing straight lines, using needles, securing stitches, turning work and top stitching. Children create a bookmark.

Day 2, 27th July - More general sewing practice, use pinking shears, learn to thread a sewing machine, children create reusable wipes and simple bunting.

Day 3, 28th July - Using a pattern, adding a pocket, top stitching, turning work. Children create a bag.
