Diddy Signers Makaton sessions are a fun way to promote the language and learning development of your little one. They will follow a familiar structure but with a new theme each week.
Beginning with a ‘hello’ song so that the children learn each other’s names, which in turn helps to build friendships within the class. After this, a set of key words will be introduced, following the theme of the week.
The rest of the class will involve fun activities as a way of embedding new signs and practising ones already learnt, listening to a story that the children can sign along with and lots and lots of songs.
All the classes will include sensory props as part of the songs and activities, as all children learn in different ways and need to experience different visuals, sounds, textures and environments to understand new concepts.
