Our programme of Tweens & Teens workshops runs throughout the summer holidays offering older children and young adults the opportunity to try a variety of new arts and crafts. See individual dates for guidance on age suitability.
July 25th - Resin.
Suitable for ages 11+. Children will make a variety of resin pieces such as bookmarks, decorations and jewellery. They can choose from coloured dyes, sparkly bits, dried flowers and more to create some beautiful pieces. Items will need to be left with us to cure fully and will be available to collect a few days later.
July 30th - Embroidered Photos
You will need to send us a photo that will then be printed in black and white on to fabric. Children will then be able to embellish their photo with embroidery for example adding flowers or a hat! This workshop is with Anna from Sew Sydney. Suitable for children who have some experience with hand sewing.
8th August - Fimo.
Suitable for ages 11+. Children will use fimo to create jewellery and keyrings. They will learn a variety of techniques such as make Klimt canes and/or flower slabs.
15th August - Patches
Anna from Sew Sydney is joining us to run this fabulous workshop where tweens & teens can create their own patches to add to clothes, bags etc. They will use a mix of fabric pens, sewing and embroidery to create their designs.
22nd August - Shrink Plastic.
Suitable for ages 9+. Children will create designs on shrink plastic which we will shrink in the oven. They can then make them into earrings, keyrings, pendants, badges and gift tags.
27th August - Fused Glass
Suitable for ages 11+. Children will make a fused glass suncatcher (or upgrade to make a picture or more than one suncatcher - £15 per suncatcher or £30 for a picture). Children will learn how to cut the glass and use a grinder to make shaped pieces for their suncatchers. The glass pieces will then be taken away by us and fused and available to collect approx one week later.
